University of Amsterdam
This short film is an ethnographic exploration of the concept of "home away from home" as experienced by Dutch students living at the IBB (Ina Boudier-Bakker complex). Through a sensory and spatial lens, the film examines how students construct belonging within a temporary yet communal living environment. It delves into the material culture, social rituals, and shared imaginaries that shape their everyday lives, offering insight into how transitory domestic spaces mediate personal identity, social cohesion, and the negotiation of home in a liminal phase of life.
DEMI--- is an essay film of a musician's intimate relationship with her microphone, examining how it shapes identity, amplifies emotion, and transforms performance into a profound act of self-expression.
Through candid reflections and poetic imagery, the film delves into the duality of life on and off stage, where the microphone becomes both a shield and a conduit—bridging the gap between vulnerability and empowerment, reality and artistry.
This was the first video-essay I ever created for the UvA course "Living Information", coordinated by Prof. dr. M.J.P. (Mark) Deuze.
I wrote the script for the editor, using the Celtx software. I also filmed and directed whilst being based in Groningen.
This essay film formed the basis of a paper I wrote about digital spaces in worker-led media intranets, under the guidance of Dr. M.L. (Michael) Thomas at the University of Amsterdam.
Erasmus+
A simple montage of a trip to Morocco, styled in Super 8mm for a vintage, nostalgic feel.
It captures the essence of the journey I took with my friends through the country's landscape and culture.
Unfortunately, most of the original footage was lost.

A montage video capturing moments from start to finish, of my Erasmus exchange.
This project reflects my experiences and offered me a chance to improve my video editing skills.
